Like the other calorimeters in the Calvet range, the Calvet LV 4C uses 3D sensors consisting of a network of thermocouples surrounding the measuring cells. Larger and made up of more thermocouples than other models, Calvet LV 4C sensors are highly sensitive. Having a greater number of sensors, Calvet LV 4C can also measure two samples simultaneously.
The temperature control of such sensors in practice limits the use of Calvet LV 4C in isothermal mode, but they are capable of ensuring complete detection of heat around the sample. Find out more.

Calvet LV 4C excels particularly in the thermal characterization of batteries, measuring their self-discharge thermal power and the heat released during charge/discharge cycles. Calvet LV 4C can also be used to analyze the thermal properties of building materials. It is used in biology to study the metabolic processes of small animals, providing valuable data about their interactions with their environment.
