Webinar on how to get thermal stability data for designing safer batteries

Thursday, June 27th (10:00 AM CEST)Webinar – Thermal analysis to ensure the safety of batteries

Live webinar using Microsoft Teams

Novel materials are being constantly researched to improve the performance and safety of batteries. For example, new chemistries of electrode or electrolyte materials such as sodium-ion, chloride-ion, or gel polymer have been intensively studied. While the raw electrochemical performances are often the primary focus of these research, thermal stability and safety shouldn’t be overlooked.

This webinar will show how to use calorimeters and thermal analyzers to study and improve the safety of battery components. It will explain how to measure the heat released during charging/discharging cycles, how to predict temperature elevation during use or in case of abusive event, and how to evaluate the stability and the safe temperature range of components.
