Batteries's safety

Thursday, November 21th (01:00 PM ET)Webinar – How to improve batteries’ thermal safety?

Live webinar using Microsoft Teams

In the pursuit of developing better batteries, thermal analysis is a critical element of battery technology, ensuring that batteries function efficiently, safely, and reliably across various applications, including everyday use electronics like cellphones, laptops, etc., EVs, and even on large-scale energy storage systems.

Key aspects of thermal analysis in batteries include heat generation, heat management, thermal runaway, aging, degradation, and thermal stability.

Also, during charging and discharging, batteries can produce heat, and excessive heat can pose safety risks, shorten battery life, and degrade performance.

In this webinar, we will cover examples of thermal stability in battery components, heat capacity, heat released during charge/discharge cycles, and self-discharge.
