Webinar on heat storage technologies caracterized by calorimetry

Thursday, October 24th (10:00 AM CEST)Webinar – Storing heat to save resources

Live webinar using Microsoft Teams

This webinar on “Storing heat to save resources” will focus on materials characterization with thermal analyzers from sub-ambient to high temperature.

Heat storage technologies have found applications in industrial and consumer sectors, helping to reduce primary energy consumption and to smooth production curve of intermittent energy sources. Depending on the application, the operating temperature can go from negative temperature to temperature above 1000°C.
Full characterization of heat storage materials is necessary to design efficient systems. Thermal analyzers offer the possibility to measure key properties over a wide range of temperature, such as heat capacity for sensible heat storage, enthalpy and temperature of phase transition for latent heat storage, or heat of sorption and reaction for thermochemical systems.
