Setaram microcalorimetry has been serving research for over four decades. More than a thousand scientific articles have been published by the most prestigious public and private research centers in fields as varied as energy storage, environmental sciences, pharmaceuticals, polymers, and of course life sciences.

Initially marketed under the name Biocalorimeter, then MicroDSC and finally Microcalvet, Setaram microcalorimetry has numerous applications in the characterization of temperatures, thermal stability, enthalpy variations, and specific heat of biological systems or biomolecule solutions.

Its high sensitivity, coupled with its removable cell design, enables it to measure denaturation, aggregation, and conformational changes in proteins, lipid membranes, microorganisms, tissues, and human cells.

But these thermal or thermodynamic measurements aim at much more practical end applications, such as the formulation of active ingredients, understanding biomedical phenomena at the biomolecular level, or researching new diagnostic methods.

Our webinar will address these topics based on fascinating measurement examples reported in various articles by our users.
